Dancing Sisters

What is it about dancers that captures our imagination? Is it how we capture that one fronzen second in mid-step? Is it the spirit and the grace?

I love the spontenaeity of dance and how it lends itself to 2-dimentional art forms. That split-second in which our eye registers all the grace, the beauty and the inhale of the dancer.... Here I've used a background of a multi-coloured silk scarf to frame the sisters dancing. Their movements as delicate as the silk they're painted on. The movements of their dresses reflected in the sheerness of the background....and all upon the background of sunshiny gold.
